The thing to do these days in Chaska is to go downtown and check out the river. We decided to have dinner at the new restaurant in the Best Western, Tommy's Malt Shop and check out the flooding for ourselves. The malt shop was great. Good burgers, excellent malts and good service. The prices were really reasonable too. I think this is at least the 4th restaurant in that space since I moved here 6 years ago. I think this one might actually last if they can make money with those low prices anyway.

The walking path along the levy now looks like a boat launch.

Audrey telling us something about the water. She has a lot to say these days, but the only things we understand are mum-mum (mom), dah (dad, duck or dog) and eye (hi or bye).

Stairs go straight down into the water.

You can see the top of the bench/sign along the walking path here in the distance.
